Bangladesh Govt restricts congregation in mosques

No more than five people can congregate in mosques for prayers, the government of Bangladesh has said in a notice.

The decision is meant to bridle the escalation of coronavirus cases in Bangladesh.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued an emergency notice on Monday restricting the congregation adding that a maximum of 10 devotees can attend the Jummah prayers on Friday in mosques.

Bangladesh government also restricted visits to other places of worship.
