WASHINGTON: (Web Desk) – In the spirit of goodwill, Pakistan gifted personal protective equipment (PPE) to the US on Thursday.
According to the details garnered, a Pakistan Air Forces (PAF) C-130 plane carrying PPE donated by Pakistan armed forces to US armed forces reached at the Andrews Air Base in Washington DC.
It is pertinent to mention here that the PPE including surgical masks and protective suits was received by Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs, David Holloway.
Pakistan ambassador to US Asad Majeed Khan and other staff of Pakistan embassy was also present at the airport.
While appreciating Pakistan’s goodwill donation of surgical masks and protective suits, the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeted saying that “This delivery is a symbol of US-Pakistan solidarity in the fight against COVID-19. #WeAreInThisTogether #Partners4Prosperity.”
